One of the worst bosses I have ever worked for. One of the worst techbology executives out there. She has no idea how to manage and build a high-performance team. She runs the Technology department like an authoritarian. I have seen her yell, raise her voice and cuss at people when she didn’t get her way. She manipulates her way out of the situation by glass lighting - blaming others or the situation constantly. Micromanaging work of her team to hide that she doesn’t have a strong technical or strategic background in Product Design. She talks to everyone, including employees, like they are five year olds. Says things like " you're learning when she thinks she's teaching you something new. I’ve never quite seen anyone change personalities as quickly as I have seen her, as soon as someone above her in rank walks is involved. She demands respect at all times but never grants it to others. Anyone who disagrees with her on any topic quickly becomes an enemy. However, if you kiss her ass, she will give more favorable treatment. She keeps a close group of loyalists that basically worship her, and tell her that she's always right. She is also very self-involved, she has a book "grit and grind" that is absolutely terrible, and she continually tries to hock it on the team. She rewards team members who give her positive reviews on Linkedin, Often asking them to do so during their 1:1s, and she makes your life hell if you don't. Rhonda is a nightmare to work with and for. She literally has "Rhonda Run" embroidered on the back of her sneakers, and I think that's incredible advice. RUN RUN RUN away from this tirefire of a boss.
