Jenny - no one is trying to take your job. All we want is to provide the best care for the animals, the least you can do is listen to your employees. If someone knows more about a topic than you do, listen, learn, and grow from it to become a better manager. The wrong thing to do is get defensive and immediately dismiss any ideas that aren't your own. The other thing you should do is promote your incompetent best friend who prioritizes the wrong things, doesn't know how to train new keepers (let alone animals), and is the laziest person on the team. Shes also the reason for all the toxicity in the keeper department (in addition to you). We all know the other promotion you did was because that person is a push over and doesn't challenge you at all. I hear you're stressed after all the good employees left. They all left because they couldn't take you or the toxicity you encourage amongst your staff.
