Erik is a true narcissist. Having led zero software projects before, and given a job req stating Director of Data would be open to new team member's expertise- nah, all lies- Erik knows best at all times. You get to build a SaaS product that wants five figures a year with zero automated testing. Did I mention Erik lies? Think you're going to get promoted, nah. Someone else at the company told you Erik has plans to develop you- nope, just schemes to make himself sound better (seriously heard this same story from two different people before I asked Erik about as much and he denied all of it). Just had a seizure and want to take Monday off? Not if you're on his sh*tlist. But wait, if you are on his good side and have a nasty headache or migraine you can get a few days off?!?! I left after they nixed the PM role, renamed my current role, and then claimed that if I did well under my new title I would potentially get a promotion. I was also told that within the first six months I managed to accomplished what they anticipated would take a year- that was written down as only meets expectations. Mind you the new title had NO new responsibilities, it was exactly what I was doing before but now with added bull that it might mean a damn. As to the social cause, when 90%+ of their data is taken from a questionable source and then intentionally hide/deny the real source of a majority of their data, who are they really helping? If you are a mushroom, you will love working for this man. You will be kept in the dark and feed $#*7 daily, enjoy
