Veronica is an unprofessional and vindictive personality not to be trusted. The best faculty resigned given her belligerent attitude and discriminatory practices. As a minority I felt attacked for who I was and made to feel intimidated and insecure. She does not care about anything but HER vision and her strategy for your program - even if she has ZERO expertise in the field. She wants to just squeeze and make more money through online courses with no attention to quality or academic integrity. I am so disappointed she is given free reign when there have been numerous complaints against her.

Advanced Academic Programs (AAP) at Johns Hopkins is a department in the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences (led by Dean Chris Celenza). Associate Dean Veronica Donahue oversees all operations at AAP (student affairs, faculty, curriculum, staff, etc...). The work environment at AAP is characterized by harmful and unethical attitudes and practices, including bullying, harassment, undervalued personnel, overworked faculty, unclear staff expectations, lack of growth opportunities, pay disparities, heavy workloads, unfair policy and treatment, and favoritism. Donahue's office "leads" the division with inadequate communication, intimidation, gaslighting, a lack of transparency, and generally toxic management. DONAHUE IS VICIOUS, BLATANTLY INCOMPETENT AND UNPROFESSIONAL. The physical and mental health of AAP employees has been negatively impacted by this work environment (many are depressed and disengaged; our best faculty have left for other jobs and many employees are looking for other positions). In the end, none of this can be beneficial to our students. I would not recommend working here.
