Olga is a good manager for a very new junior visual designer, but she does want to use people to do the most tedious boring tasks, in a micro-managing type of way. So anyone who is more experienced or has training in another area of UX design - she is at a total loss for how to use them on projects. She is very insecure and tends to doubt people with skills in other areas because she doesn't know how to assess their skill level. I don't recommend her, even for junior people, but for new visual designers, it can work for a year or two, on your way to a better manager.

Olga's positive qualities are that she is fun and charasmatic and good at visual design. However, she is also very much a micro-manager and wants people working for her to do the boring grunt work, while she does the "glamourous strategy", which she is not very good at, being more of an imitator than a visionary. In addition, she cannot appreciate anyone who has different skills than her own and empower their expression at work. She is relentless at forcing people to do the same boring tasks because she doesn't trust her own judgement about others' abilities in other areas and is not interested in developing or empowering anyone. Her main focus is on using people to do detailed work that she doesn't want to do and then showing her bosses so she can get promoted.
