I had the misfortune to work for Monica, however, I learned a lot about her during the time I did. She is an absolute fraud. She has no idea what she is doing and takes no measures whatsoever to learn. She "manages" a technical team and yet has no technical background or savvy. She is frequently overwhelmed with work and it's apparent to everyone around her, particularly her team, that she isn't intelligent enough to know how to handle her workload. She does not work with her employees to make them better, smarter, or more empowered. She only uses her power to break them down. She will take work away from you, not invite you to team meetings or trainings (this is supposed to violate company retaliation policies which the company does not enforce), and then has the audacity to claim you aren't working. You can explain your role to her twenty times and she will ask again what it is you do because she can't remember what you told her. She lies to P&C to have people who don't suck up to her dismissed. She is a corporate snake in the grass who spreads lies, withholds information from her teams, treats her teams with complete disrespect, and pretends she's a good guy. She has a tragically limited vocabulary which her team uses as an inside joke during meetings that she is unaware of. She is everything a terrible manager could be and more, as she micromanages her team and doesn't allow them to confide in her without retaliation. She is not a safe manager to have. She will attempt to convince you that she cares about you but she does not. She only cares about herself. If she is your boss or you know her, do not trust her.
