Mariana is all talk, no action, no support. She talks about doing best practices, then blocks them at every step. She obsesses over superficial accolades, and cares far more about her appearance on a trade magazine than the existing culture around her. She also told all pf marketing not to contact her directly, because she was tired of all of the questions she received from us (we were all so confused as to what was happening with the department). She pushed put 5 of the best marketers I've had the pleasure to work with. They could not handle the stress of working under her. She'd demand results, then would strip all pf your ability to make that success. Her rule was "do as your told" but then also, "explain to me why you did this." I was continually forced by Mariana to execute bad campaigns, which I did in protest. Mariana would then regularly throw me to the wolves of sales executives to defend these awful campaigns, and pushed back when I said "I don't agree with how these campaigns were structured, but I was told to do it the way Mariana wanted it or I'd lose my job." Mariana is dishonest, superficial, untrustworthy, and cruel. She kicked her daughter's dog during a meeting because it annoyed her.

She refuses to communicate directly. She doesn't follow through on her statements. She cares more about buzz-words and accolades than laws and best practices. ROI was tanking and she laid off most of the marketing experts while she funnels her budget to an agency she worked with at her prior job. She also encouraged employees to try to go around GDPR and try to somehow prove it was hurting our ROI (scapegoating), despite it being the law. It was the worst management I've ever experienced, and most everyone I talked to wanted to leave.
