Her entire work environment is based around control and not growth. My first meeting with her, she told me if she has to email me more than twice about a specific topic, she's going to just come talk to you instead because "it's a lot harder to prove a he-said-she-said conversation than it is an email thread." Meaning if she tells you something in person, she can go back on her word and pretend she never said that to begin with and you'll have no proof to show otherwise.
She has multiple HIPAA violations against her within the company (I also opened a case against her with HR personally), and was told by HR that because we are understaffed we can't afford to lose anyone else in management; even if they make fun of their employees for having health conditions like autism and cancer.
She will talk to other current employees about new hires and how their interviews went with other staff (fellow co-workers), even if it's not good news.
She has cornered me in an elevator before, held the door, and told me I should just quit so she doesn't have to see me ever again.
I love what I do, and I love my job, but I quit this manager. I have never met someone so degrading, miserable, and soul-ugly before. Save yourself the stress and anxiety, don't work for Select Medical and DEFINITELY don't work for Kathy Charles.
