I agree with a lot of what others have written. Working for her is a real life Handmaids Tale.
I am not sure where to start. This manager demeans, belittles, and is "favorite" driven. She possesses zero empathy and what emotion she shows appears false. Even though several people have filed HR complaints against her, and has been reprimanded, it seems she cannot understand why she keeps getting a poor score on "feel safe to voice my opinions or provide constructive feedback". At this point it is almost humorous to watch, as we can tell when she gets "spoken to", but then falls back into the same toxic management style after a month or so.
We have now lost so many managers and employees that nothing gets changed. As soon as a new director is put in, they are here and start to push back on what they see and, poof!, they leave the team. Other teams here see this and we are a laughing stock for them. We are all looking for opportunities to leave the team. The company we work for is great, but upper management needs to look into why there is such a revolving door.

Despite warning, I accepted a position at ServiceNow reporting directly to Kathleen. In my 4 years here, I've consistently watched her reports; transfer out of the department, take mental leaves of absence, and get pushed out or fired. More than 20 to date. The environment she creates is hostile. The VP has demoted her a number of times, but even our brightest minds have not figured out why she's still here. ServiceNow will clearly destroy great talent before eliminating the source of everyone's misery. How am I still here? I played her game for about a year before I was asked to lie and fabricate information to get an innocent employee fired. I hated everything about myself while working for her and feared the karmic aftermath.
