I wish I saw this before I accepted this job offer. It is a small remote work from home team. What’s supposed to be a half hour meeting, ends in five. Everyone on the team is cheerful and friendly but the “atmosphere” turns grim the moment she joins the video conference wearing a sleeveless black jersey and a baseball cap every time. Even though we work from home - you would think that your manager would at least look presentable for the camera especially being the leader and face of a big company such as Advent Health.

She fails to provide staff with positive feedback or acknowledgment of a job well done. She is not open to new ideas and perspectives and discourages creative solutions. She uses derogatory language when communicating with co-workers. She communicates condescendingly when asked for assistance. She fails to communicate rules, procedures, and messages to subordinates properly and her inconsistent guidance is confusing to employees. Her mannerisms don’t encourage the team to feel comfortable communicating openly.
