This man falls into the LGBT+ community and this is important for what comes next: This man told a transwoman we had as an Assistant Manager that "the bathroom placards could be updated to all-gender only if that same manager stood outside to explain to all the pissed off old ladies why both genders are using both bathrooms". They also told the same manager who went to the GM about constant misgendering by IT and Guest Services and Jay's reply was "It's part of the job [Regarding being misgendered constantly], deal with it." This same manager crows on and on about his training skills, except he always SAYS he wants to train you in something but then it never happens. The entire grooming salon quit on him at the same time, TWICE! If you need help from him rest assured that he will not be found on the floor or possibly in the office but no, if you need help you can always find Jay outside smoking cigarette after cigarette doing nothing but whine and moan about how difficult his job is when he doesn't do anything. He has also retaliated against the AM when she told Jay that the reason that she had reached out to our Area Manager Mary Johnson regarding this behavior by Jay and that when Mary asked Jay to ask me why [Assistant Manager] wanted to talk to her, Mary Johnson. She [Assistant Manager] got written up by Jay for nonsense a couple hours later that day. This was textbook retaliation by someone to cover their own backside. As someone who identifies as transgender myself I have also witnessed blatant acts myself (wont outline here to avoid identifying myself) from Jay that are, at best, disrespectful towards my community and discriminatory at worst. He constantly talks crap about people, customers or employees, behind their back yet be all smiles when that person is around. The entire staff at my store has lost all respect for Jay LaCroix II as a manager and we all got together for a celebratory drink when he was transferred out of the Porter Ranch Petco location to a much smaller Unleashed by Petco in North Hollywood. We await the day that he is fired to have a drink to that as well.
