Erika is a knowledgeable healthcare quality improvement specialist but unable to grasp the larger picture on the skills and tasks necessary to lead a large group. She frequently gets too far in the weeds rather than depend on her people to handle the task at hand with staff that have a proven track record. She often over promises and under delivers on team strategy and implementation planning and will get defensive in team meetings when asked about previous goals. She will often hold grudges and will not develop people she sees as a threat. Needs emotional intelligence development and leadership training to get to the next level. Proceed with caution if she is your manager.
