This is a guy who has no knowledge or integrity. If you get on his or his friend's bad side, you are doomed. That is the thing: his friends are clueless just like him, but because they move into companies as a group, they buffer and help each other to the point that sound judgment and putting down facts don't work. When things don't go right, it becomes finger-pointing outside to those outside his group of cronies. He is not the worst of people to work for. It's just how incompetent he is for someone that is running a department
