I worked for Andrew and he is horrible as a boss and doesn't care for employee development. He is a bootlicker and will do anything to please his business overlords. He will throw his people under the bus to get his goals accomplished and use dishonesty to cut costs. He was definitely too young and unexperienced to be put into a director role.

I have worked for Andrew for more than 4 years and I always found him extremely helpful and have always provided guidance in my professional growth. He is very approachable as a lead technology officer and always willing to leverage his own relationships with business to help getting things done. I am not the only one but everyone in the team feels pretty secured which, in my opinion, creates an environment where individuals are less worried about their job security and are able to work freely while even lending help to other team members creating a very cohesive environment. Employee turnover is probably the minimum I have seen throughout my entire 20 years of career. I could narrate multiple incidents where I was backed by Andrew in front of even business owners which I think is a huge deal considering his own relationships were at risk. So as long as you are competent and willing to contribute towards the team goals you will always feel appreciated in this group.

Andrew is a micro manager, and even then he lacks basic management skills. He is unable to properly assign priorities or understand the concept of resource management. Everything is a high priority for him and he doesn't want to listen to "excuses" as to why it can't get done. Due to this, projects under him always miss the deadline and drag on indefinitely and he never takes responsibility, it is always the fault of the people under him. He won't stand up for his reports and lacks a spine to say "no" to upper management. He is well aware that people are fed up and about to leave, but he won't care, he will continue to squeeze until the last drop of blood, and happily see you resign as long as the project gets done and he gets to look good. He will is willing to do anything to make himself look good. Last but not least, his jokes tend to be racist and sexists. Definitely not a good environment to work in
